General Vision Questions
When you enroll in any FCPS medical plan, you will automatically have vision benefits. If you enroll in Aetna/Innovation Health, your vision benefits will be offered through Aetna VisionSM Preferred.
The Aetna Vision Preferred plan covers routine eye exams, eyeglass lenses and frames, and contact lenses. In addition, the plan provides discounts on services that are not covered, such as LASIK, extra pairs of eyeglasses and digital eye imaging.
Choose from more than 110,000 vision providers across the country. This includes neighborhood eye doctors, as well as your favorite retail chains – many who offer night and weekend hours:
- LensCrafters®
- Pearle Vision®
- Target Optical®
- Independent Provider Network
- CVS OpticalTM.

No. You may choose any frame, including designer brands such as Oakley®, Ray-Ban® and Vogue®. What’s more, you can buy eyewear at a different place than where you had your eye exam. So you’re sure to find what you like.
